Budget Planner redesign

User Experience Designer (UX) (4 months)

Money Advice Service’s budget planner required a redesign to address an increase in mobile traffic. Engaged as UX Designer to design a mobile-first product prototype without sacrificing desktop functionality.

Planned and led the UX design; prototypes included site-wide navigation, search functionality, and account access; introduced calculator functionality within sub-categories; and calls to action to encourage customer behaviour change.

Succeeded in gaining approval from a previously apprehensive executive team and securing a £200k budget for subsequent project phases.

Pension Calculator redesign

User Experience Designer (UX) (4 months)

Money Advice Service initiated the redesign of a pension calculator. Engaged as UX Designer to build a mobile-first product highlighting the gap between customers' current and target pension values.

Part of a multidisciplinary team using Agile methodologies; audited existing product; delivered benchmarking via competitor analysis; designed high-fidelity prototypes; carried out gorilla/lab testing and customer interviews; continued to iterate product based on data analysis and customer feedback.

Succeeded in producing a leading-edge pension calculator with improved user experience and 20% more engagement.
